How can I apply for a position at HUMC?
Applying for a position at HUMC can be done only through our online application.
|
| |
Can I check on the status of my application?
The Recruitment Department reviews all submitted online applications that are submitted within a timely period. Because of the large volume of applications we receive on a daily basis, it is impossible to give a response to every applicant. If one of our recruiters is interested in your application you will be contacted via email/phone to setup a formal interview.
|
| |
How long does it take for my application to be reviewed?
Our recruiters put forth their best efforts to review each application in a timely manner. If you don't get a response, we encourage you to review the listings again for other position opportunities and re-apply after a reasonable amount of time has passed since your last application.
|
| |
What hours is the office open?
The Human Resources Recruitment Department is open
Monday through Friday
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
|
| |
How many positions may I apply for?
Though there are no restrictions on the amount of positions you may apply for, we do ask that you keep your focus on the job that most interests you and refrain from submitting for multiple positions since it slows down the application review process.
|
| |
Can I speak to a recruiter or setup an interview?
Because of the large volume of applications we receive daily, our recruiters are very busy screening and interviewing new candidates and are unable to speak or meet with walk-in applicants. All interviews and conversations will be initiated by a recruiter after a review of an application is completed and if they feel the individual is a strong candidate for a given position.

|
| |
What can I do to better my chances of being interviewed by a recruiter?
Having a professional resume with any and all information that is relevant to the job you're applying for will help you stand out as a strong candidate. Submitting multiple applications within a short time period will only slow down the process.
|
| |
Will I get a response after I apply for a position?
Responses are not guaranteed, only the most viable and qualified candidates will be contacted by a recruiter to setup an interview.
|
| |
I have a relative/friend that works at HUMC; can I reference him/her?
You are able to reference a relative/friend that is currently employed or affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center in the questionnaire portion of the online application. Space is also available on our pre-screening forms at our office. Please note that this will not speed up or slow down the screening process.
|
| |
I don't meet the exact requirements of the job I'm interested in, can I still apply for it?
We do not prevent you from applying to any position(s). If you do not meet the specific requirements for a job but are able to back that up with relative and/or equivalent experience then we encourage you to still apply.
|
| |
I don't see the position I'm interested in on the posting list, can I still apply for it?
Our website only allows for online applications to be submitted for positions that are presently posted.
|
| |
Can I email or fax over my resume?
The online application is the only way to apply for a position at HUMC. We no longer accept any faxed or handed in resumes or previously used pre-screening forms.
|
| |
How often is the posting list updated?
We keep our online postings updated as frequent as possible, in most cases daily. For the most up to date and accurate information and postings, always use the HUMC website.
